FAT Head

May 15th, 2009

I am in the middle of viewing Fat Head- all I can say is if Tom Naughton is right, the world has been led astray on dietary recommendations and foods impact on risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

He starts out with an honest critique of SuperSize Me and Morgan Spurlock, then goes into how and why the American public is being misled about the saturated fat, cholesterol, heart disease link. High insulin levels, caused by eating too many carbohydrates, is the real problem with the American diet. He also thinks the obesity crisis is a fabrication based on a change in criteria. Sure we’ve gained some weight, but we are nowhere near the levels reported by the CDC and other respected organizations.

This is a must see documentary. 51vpaxa0k7l__sl210_

Comedian (and former health writer) Tom Naughton replies to the blame-McDonald’s crowd by losing weight on a fat-laden fast-food diet while demonstrating that nearly everything we’ve been told about obesity and healthy eating is wrong.

Order Fat Head from Amazon. I can’t wait to get my copy. See the movie trailer here.
