Have you heard of Sensa? One of the Win Over Weight (W.O.W.) members brought my attention to it. (Sensa)

Sensa is a weight loss product that you sprinkle on food that supposedly results
in people eating less. While the validity of the clinical study cited
in the report has been questioned, check out the reviews at
http://www.dietsinreview.com/diets/sensa/. While many are calling Sensa
a scam, there are several positive reviews here and also on the amazon
link.

Dr. Alan Hirsch, who developed Sensa, found that patients who lost taste
and smell tended to gain weight, so he theorized that enhancing taste
and smell of food would have the opposite effect (doesn’t seem logical
to me, – smoking kills the senses along with appetite, however…).
Hirsch claims you’ll feel fuller faster.

After some more digging, I discovered the same Dr. Hirsch that came up
with Sensa also had a similar product called Sprinkle Thin, that
apparently went under

ABCs 20/20 did a story on Hersch and Sensa

L.A. Weight Loss Centers “BUSTED!”

LA Weight Loss Centers is barred from misrepresenting the essential costs of its memberships. It also has posted a $275,000 performance bond with the New York Secretary of State as required by law, and has revised its contracts to fully disclose the costs of the program and consumers’ cancellation rights. The company also will provide all refunds within the time limits required by law.

LA Weight Loss Centers will make restitution to all New York State consumers who did not receive refunds as required by law. This includes $25 to each individual who cancelled his/her contract and received a late refund, and repayment for any unused “LA Lite” bars. It must have seemed an easy way to get rich quick. Founder Heidi “Kimmer” Diaz set up a website and charged members a fee to access the Kimkins diet, boasting they could lose up to 5 percent of their body weight in 10 days. “Better than gastric bypass,” there was “no faster diet,” and in fact she herself had lost 198# in 11 months. Stunning “after” photos were displayed. In June 2007 Women’s World ran it as a cover story, and that month alone PayPal records show the Kimkins site took in over $1.2 million. Then users began complaining of chest pains, hair loss, heart palpitations, irritability and menstrual irregularities. This was not surprising since Kimkins is essentially a starvation diet, down to 500 calories per day and deficient in many nutrients (appallingly, laxatives are advised to replace missing fiber). In a lawsuit, 11 former members are uncovering a vast record of Diez’s alleged fraud. They found that the stunning “after” photos, including one of Kimmer herself, had been lifted from a Russian mail order bride site. According to a deposition reported by Los Angeles TV station KTLA, Diaz admitted using fake pictures, fake stories and fake IDs, and a judge has allowed the litigants to freeze some of her assets. -healthyweightnetwork
