MY COMMENT: I’m all for simplification, but there is always SOMEBODY with a unique body structure that just won’t fit- same as BMI. So at 5′7″ my MWL is 165.

MY COMMENT: Does this study translate to humans? You’ve been hearing this advice for years- stop eating after such and such a time, however this is the first study I’ve seen that supports the theory that eating late at night promotes weight gain. The mechanism is still not understood.

MY COMMENT: Interesting that subjects in this study (ave age 68 years) averaged only 18.6 grams of fiber daily.
The study found that 41 percent of children (ages 2 – 11), 62 percent of adolescents (ages 12 – 17) and 24 percent of adults drink at least one soda or other sugar-sweetened beverage every day. Regardless of income or ethnicity, adults who drink one or more sodas or other sugar-sweetened beverages every day are 27 percent more likely to be overweight or obese. MY COMMENT: They are talking about a .01 cent tax per ounce. I guess it has worked for cigarettes but more people drink soda than smoke. I wonder if the proposal includes diet soda?
